Nurse Practitioners

Ms Karen Kerr (f)

Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a highly qualified Nurse who is able to see all patients over the age of 16 and able to prescribe for patients.

Qualifications:- RGN, BSc (Hons) Specialist Practitioner, COPD Dip, MSc Dip advanced Practice.

Ms Avril Law (f)

Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a highly qualified Nurse who is able to see all paediatric patients and a variety of adult patients presenting with acute problems and is able to prescribe for these patient groups.

Qualifications:- RSCN, MSc Maternal and Child Health (Advanced Paediatric Practice)

Specialist Nurses

Ms Debbie McClymont (f)

Ms McClymont is a qualified Community Mental Health Nurse who sees our patients at the surgery and will sign post them to the service they require. Ms McClymont currently works  in the practice every Thursday.


Our three practice nurses undertake specialist clinics for patients with stable, chronic conditions and also do cervical smears, stitch removal, dressings, ear syringing, ECGs, a range of clinics and well person checks. They occasionally take blood samples and blood pressures, although these are normally done by the Health Care Assistants.

RGN, Bsc (Hons), Cardiovascular Disease Dip, Diabetes Dip,  Fiona is our Practice Staff Nurse

Nurse Stacey McWee (f)

Mr Brian Scarisbrick (m)

Mr Scarisbrick is a senior Physiotherapist and is the first point of contact for all patients who have a Muscular Skeletal problem.  You can self refer to him if you wish by asking our receptionist for an appointment.  He currently works at the practice every Monday.
